Home from the Dominican Republic

We returned from our mission trip to the Dominican Republic this afternoon around 3:30 pm.  It was an amazing trip from beginning to end.  We are so thankful for Phil and Donna Williams, for their passion for God, the Dominican people and for partnering with others in revealing the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.  They were (and always are) gracious and patient hosts.

Our team of seven meshed so well and formed a great family as we worked together this week.  Much was accomplished in relationship-building as well as practical accomplishments like constructing a clinic, completing a formulary, creating patient files, etc.  Our fondest memories from the week will be the people without a doubt.  When we talk about the trip, our first thoughts will go to the wonderful people we were blessed to meet.

One of the projects I worked on related to Servant’s Heart work with Haitians.  I put together a video for Phil and Donna to use to share about their work with a good friend, Frantzo Begin, and his story of loss in Haiti but more importantly his hope for Haiti.  I wanted to share it with you.

If you would like to help Frantzo and Servant’s Heart with meeting the needs of Haitians, the best thing is to give money. You can give by sending a check to “New Life Christian Church/P.O. Box 134/Stn. Main/Bridgewater, NS/BV4-2W8.  Please mark it “Haiti Earthquake Relief” and remember that Canada will match all donations.

(PLEASE ALLOW THE VIDEO TO LOAD COMPLETELY BEFORE VIEWING)
