ShareFest 2008
In April, 2008, First Baptist Church left the pews and went to work making a difference in our community. Several volunteers over the course of a few weeks worked on assigned tasks to meet needs and to share Christ’s love in very practical ways.
Many individuals worked at our partner school, Southwest Elemntary School. Some painted walls and designs inside the building in the hallways and the bathrooms. Some worked on landscaping and others painted a giant USA map on the playground. Others on our team gathered and delivered food to the Samaritan Center, our local food bank.
A group of men worked at the home of a woman who had several trees that needed to be trimmed after winter ice storms. With chainsaws in hand, the guys made a huge difference. Enjoy this video of moments from the weekend.
